My clients always laugh at me when I tell them that I I love to photograph newborns because it’s a highly effective form of birth control.
It’s TRUE!! We are finished having babies (imagine me swirling my hands in front of my belly and screaming “RETIRED!”), and all of these sweet little ones I see every day serve the wonderful purpose of giving me my fill of that baby smell, sweet sound, squeezable pudge, and pure, uninhibited innocence.
This is one of those amazing sessions, full of simplistic love – two parents who are first time parents, and frankly, you’d never guess.. they were so easy with their son – casually accepting all of his beautiful nuances. It’s a rare thing to find two people who are engulfed in one of the most stressful times of life, and all you get from them is radiating love.
So often I hear the question, “how can you stand to deal with newborns all day?” The answer is in this session…. These rare moments of sheer peace and ease in my work are what fuel my passion and feed my drive to ensure that every session, every client, and every image radiates the pure perfection that is so difficult to come by.

Quote for the Day:
Love one another and you will be happy. It’s as simple and as difficult as that.

These twins have totally stolen my heart!!! I had a ball with them at Gibraltar a few weeks back – and their mom – who says she’s not photogenic, by the way – is awesome. The thing I love about twins is how very different they are. These guys have such different personalities, and are so unique.
So – a new favorite photo of mine emerged during this session… It’s one of those images that isn’t technically perfect – but the expression is priceless.
Quote for the Day – :
Sometimes being a brother is even better than being a superhero.

This year is SO the year of babies! I am shooting so many little newborns and their mommies – and loving every single minute of it! if I was better about blogging, you would see them all on here – displayed proudly – but I’m having trouble with this new mode of communication!
SO – my point: it’s refreshing when I get an awesome session that is not a baby!! This is literally my favorite session from 2008 so far. It took place in old new castle – right outside my burnt studio – and it was one of those sessions that you just can’t wait to get home and edit.
