There’s nothing more amazing than the feeling of a new baby in your arms – the smell, the size, the sound… who can resist?

Capturing the very essence of a new baby is not only extraordinarily difficult, but it requires a bit of patience and creativity. Your portrait session with Jessica will not only result in beautiful imagery, but it will leave you with a sense of peace. Jessica’s compassionate touch, and her maternal instincts help her to understand not only YOU and what you’re feeling so soon after having a baby, but also your new baby and his/her needs at such a young age.

Babies change so quickly, and we know that if you’ve had your baby, you’re tired, and sleep deprived, and changing a thousand diapers a day – at least it FEELS that way, right? We are specialists in maternity, baby and child photography. We pride ourselves on making it easy for you, stress free, and certainly not something that you’re dreading. It is our sole objective to provide you beautiful portraits and an exquisitely calming, pleasant experience in the process.

Maternity and newborn portrait sessions can take place either in our Hockessin studio, or on location in the Delaware Valley. Maternity portraits are scheduled to take place between 32 and 36 weeks, and newborn portraits are completed prior to 3 weeks of age.

We offer a limited number of newborn and maternity portrait sessions each month, and thus, it is important to schedule your session as far in advance as you can. Newborns who arrive unexpectedly (ie: non-cesarean babies!) are not out of luck – we reserve a number of appointments each week just for last minute babies who refuse to adhere to their mother’s time table.

A few thoughts on your session –

Get creative! If you are pregnant and you have a wicked cool outfit (either pregnancy or pre-pregnancy!) that you love, bring it to your session! Have a cute pair of striped boyshort undies? Bring them! A sexy (and stretchy) nightgown? Bring it! Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box for your session, and bring a bit of YOU to your session…

The very same concept applies to your baby – do you have a hat you love for him? Bring it! Booties? Blankets? Ugg Boots? We want this to reflect you, and your style so that the images we create fit into your life and style with ease.

All of our maternity and newborn sessions are built to include your entire family. We’ll showcase dad with the baby, big brother with the belly, and the entire family unit. We love to see the connections and the love in your family, and we know you do too.
